Winter turns to Spring 2

The flat is successfully rented and I have one more week to put away all my personal items. I am selling my dear car to support the financial slush fund and went out yesterday afternoon with my old friend, Shona to talk about 2008 plans and drank much too much wine.

Shona is 62 years old and was avoiding yet another funeral of a Glaswegian male friend (the average life expectancy of a Glasgow man is 68). We bumped into Alasdair Gray on Byres Road, he looked like a green pixie in wellies and told us he was just back from his walk in the hills, so we left him in a very busy Oddbins. At age 72 (his admission) he doesn't have a single line on his face - unless they were all washed away by yesterday's high winds and horizontal rain. Shona and Alasdair are both wonderful artists and members of the Glasgow Group - a cooperative of artists who promote the arts in Glasgow and the West of Scotland. (Pic is one of Shona's pastels)
